More Dumb Decisions...People from around the world say "Goodbye" to Bobby Cox

So let me see if I understand this correctly. The Philles early last week decided they were going to throw Oswalt on 4 days rest in order to set their rotation so that we have to face Hamels, Halladay and Oswalt for all 6 games they play the Braves. Jurjjens forgot to wear a tampon so he hurts his knee. Instead of the Braves bumping up everyone 1 freaking day we decide to start a guy who has never pitched at the ML level. It doesnt matter that he pitched ok, thats not the point. You cant honestly tell me that that decision gave you the best chance to win? A guy who looked like he was going to take a dump right their on the mound from being so nervous. A guy who has had success at THE MINOR LEAGUE LEVEL! NEWSFLASH, this isnt the Minors. But its all good bc we saved our aces for the freaking Nationals. Actually maybe that wasnt such a bad idea? The Nationals are world beaters.

You have a guy who is hitting .346 over the last 2 weeks after finally getting healthy. He is clearly hot right now and probobly gives you the best CHANCE to win. He can cover more ground in the outfield and doesnt look goofy. On the other hand you have Melky Cabrera who might as well be Paul Bunyon since he chops everything into the ground. You can honestly tell me that Cabrera gave you the better chance to win?

The Bobby Cox report or whatever its called after the game should be "Im a moron hear me roar". When asked about the game Cox replied "Well we had more hits than they did".

<Long pause for laughter>

Long story short I cant wait for BC to be gone. Goodbye to the days of being everyones best friend. Goodbye to the lack of accountability for anyone. Hast Luego to the snide comments he makes. Shalom to no base stealing. Auf Wiedersehen to looking crabby in the dugout. Vi snakkes to having another Chris Reitsma or Greg Norton. Annyong-hi Kashipshio Bobby Cox!

Come strong or dont come at all....Braves and Falcons

As most of you know I have been very hard on the Braves over the last few weeks. Well its time to put up or shutup. No excuses over the last few weeks as you have 6 games with the Phillies and 3 each against the Marlins and Nationals. For all the bad baseball have they have played over the last 10 games or so they still hold their own fate in their hands. Are you going to man up or pull the same BS that you have the last 4 years? No one can say you didnt earn it! You got Hamels, Halladay and Oswalt going for Philly. Step up Atlanta!

The Falcons came home to face the Arizona Cardinals in what was basically a must win game for the Falcons. A beatdown ensued and the Falcons won easily 41-7 behind a HUGE day from my boy Jason Snelling! Jerious Norwood was hurt on the opening play when he tripped over his left foot trying to run back the kick off. Does this surprise anyone? Can we just cut the guy and be done with it? Anyway back to the game. Matt Ryan looked good but I have to tell you that his lack of arm strength really worries me. He made a few throws that could have easily been picked off but were either dropped by the defense or went right through their hands. I have to give some credit to the defense. They have looked great! 1 play was all Arizona got all day. In their 2 games the D has given up 15 and 7 with both TD's coming on runs of 50 and 80 yards respectivelly. If we can get that kind of effort every week then we are going to have the chance to win a lot of games.

Michael Turner was off to a fast start before leaving the game with a groin injury. Insert Jason Snelling. Can I say that I have been high on this guy ever since he played at UVA. Being a huge Tech fan I got to watch him run all over the Tech defense for years and I was very pleased when the Falcons drafted him. Hes like a Turner clone but a little heavier. Snelling had a huge day rushing for over a hundo and a couple of scores.

I really like Harry Douglas. And as you all know the only sounds Harry heard last year was POP, POP. He needs to be our big play guy. He is quick as hell and has a great burst once he catches the ball. I really hope Mularkey is planning on using him in some go routes. Ryan had him on 1 play but just overthrew him.

All in all it was a good sports weekend in Atlanta and to be honest I think I had something to do with it. Both the Falcons and Braves read my blog and got fired up.
