Friday Free For All Volume 3

Friday Free For All…..Volume 3.0

Ladeez, Gentlemen, Gangstas, Pimps, Mommas, Daddys, Stunnas, Shinahs…. In the words of Mannie Fresh, it is Friday morning Big Tymers. Another week has blown by, and another week we are closer to the Holiday Season. It is getting a little nippy outside, the football is getting better, and the first fire barrel is just around the corner.

Top 3Things I’m looking forward to this weekend:

1. Alabama vs. LSU- Saban is coming off a bye week, meaning he has had twice as much time to get ready for LSU. Les Miles is very overrated, in my opinion, and I’m looking forward to a Bama beating of the kittens…. You’re going down Les.

2. Relaxing- Maybe it is the fact that I am getting older, but I’m looking forward to just taking Saturday and relaxing on the couch, with a few cold Brew ha has, and watching college football all day. Saturday night it looks like I may still be in Atlanta, so I might ride out to Peachtree Tavern with some friends and listen to some good, quality, beer drinking country music.

3. Arkansas vs. South Carolina – Not just because I am a South Carolina Fan, but because I need to see what our nonexistent pass defense can look like. Like Midgets at Urinals, Our DB’s better be on their toes the entire game. They have been slacking of Randy Moss style all season. If they don’t come out pumped, then Mallet is going to have a field day on us, throwing for more yards on our defense then there will be vomiting sorority girls in the parking lot outside the stadium. Although this game does not mean a lot for USC, it would be a nice way to roll into the Swamp for the biggest game in South Carolina History.

Top 3 things that have pissed me off this week:

1. Brad Childress and the Minnesota Vikings- Look, if this tool shed can be a head coach in the NFL, then my dreams are still alive. The balding wonder trades a third round pick to the Patriots for Moss, and released him after 3 weeks. So his numbers weren’t great, and he talked trash about the food that was catered in for Pre-Game. Either way, you won 2 games with him on the roster, and Percy Harvin was playing his best football this season. Hey Chilly, let me give you some advice, start packing your office, because you will have a seat on the same flight as Bret Favre at the end of the season, only he will be riding in first class sipping champagne, and your sorry ass will be sitting between 2 fat guys in coach.

2. The NFL- So the NFL fined James Harrison again for a “Hard Hit” against the Saints this weekend. His fines in the past three weeks have been $100,000. Now I’m not saying that Harrison doesn’t have the money, but how are you going to tell a guy who has been playing football for 16 years to change the way he hits. Look guys in the NFL know what they are signing up for, and they know to get the big dollars, they putting their body at risk. TAKING THE BIG HITS out of the NFL is like taking NAKED CHICKS OUT OF STRIP CLUBS…. IT’S NOT GOING TO WORK.

3.Meetings after 3:00 on Friday Afternoon-  This is one topic that is pissing me off. I don’t mind working on Friday, I understand that is part of having a job. But to set a mandatory appointment on Friday afternoon, after the 3:00 hour, in downtown Atlanta, is crazy. First of all, traffic blows. Second of all, nothing productive is going to get done this time of day. Yea, I have one this afternoon, and I would rather sit through a Kansas City Royals baseball game than have to be at this meeting.

Youtube Clips of the week:

This is what happens when you break into a Water Park that is obviously closed for a reason….. dumbasses…..

Shout-Outs for the Weekend

• Mississippi St. Football Team- Tough Break for the Bulldogs football team, as they lost a key member of their team, Nick Bell, to his battle with cancer. Our hearts go out to the Bulldog Nation.
• John Wall- Anytime a guy is introduced in pre-game to the “Dougie,” and then goes out and drops 28 points, 12 assist, and 9 steals, is a baller in my book.
• Urban Meyer (yea I know)- Classy move by Meyer, awarding a game ball from the annual Georgia slaying to a key member of the Florida Media. The Florida Media member’s father had died the day before.
• Atlanta Hawks- Same team, new coaching scheme. Shocker, who would have thought the best way to utilize a young, athletic team, is to let them run and push the ball? They are 5-0.
• Jeff Fisher-At least one coach realized that although Moss may be a bit slower, and a bit of a pain in the ass, he still completely changes defenses. Although he didn’t have big numbers so far this year, just ask Wes Welker and Percy Harvin if having a receiver being double teamed helps them get open at all?
• Jodi Redd, Meghan “Minnie” Mclamb, Mellisa M. Martin, Chris Page, and Rupert Pupkin….
Thanks for showing love to the Bro Nameth Blog…you guys def. deserve a Shout-Out.

As always, it’s been a pleasure. Leave a comment if you disagree with anything I got to say, and I’ll prove to you why you are wrong….. Check in again Monday Suckazzzzz.

Hawks Grades and Some Braves off season updates

The Atlanta Hawks have come out of the gates swinging haymakers. New coach Larry Drew has added in his motion offense and the numbers dont lie. In 3/4 games the Hawks have scored 30+ points in the opening quarter including 40 last night against the Cavs. At almost 106 ppg the Hawks are among the league leaders in PPG. Averaging around 22 assists a game we are moving the ball very well and getting a lot of easy baskets. What grade would you give the Hawks early on?

Mike Bibby and Jamal Crawford: A
  • Mike Bibby has a 7.5/1 assist to TO ratio thru the first 4 games! That kind of production is impressive regardless of how many games you have played.
  • Crawford appears to be just fine as he is averaging around 16 ppg.

Yo No Creo

Joe Johnson, Josh Smith and Marvin Williams: A
  • Josh Smith has been an absolute stud right out of the gate. The other night he blocked 3 shots in about a 12 second span with 1 of them just being ridiculous. Josh Smith can make me want to pull my hair out sometimes but when he has his head screwed on right he is easily one of the best overall players in the league
  • Everyone knows im not a Joe fan but thus far you cant argue 21, 5 and 5 is not to bad. Is it worth 20 million? No, but it is what it is.
  • Marvin Williams will never live up to being the #2 pick in the draft since we passed on CP3 but I will take 10 and 5 from him all day.
Al Horford and ZaZa: A
  • Horford is a man child and has been offered a 5 year extension worth 60 million. 15 and 10 will make you some serious cash in the NBA and Horford deserves everything he gets. I have liked Horford from the get go and its no surprise he is the leader of this team. The man comes to play every night and plays hard.
  • ZaZa might be my favortie player on the team. Ever since he stared KG down and told him to get the hell out of OUR building I have loved this guy. He only plays about 19 minutes a game but grabs around 6 or 7 boards and chips in 8-10 consistantly.
The Bench: B
  • I would like to see Jordan Crawford get some more minutes as I think he could be a real scoring weapon later on in the season. The bench has been good thus far nothing to rave about but solid.
Team Grade: A
  • The Hawks have always struggled winning away from the Highlight Factory so winning their first 3 road games is a major plus! We come home to play the crappy Pistons tonight before heading back out to play Minnesota. I fully expect the Hawks to win both games and be 6-0 to start the season. Unfortunately for us we play in the East with teams like the Heat, Celtics and Magic.
The Braves excersized their options on both Alex Gonzalez and Omar Infante yesterday. I like both the moves and this gives the braves some solid defense and hitting on the cheap. I also heard on the radio that some Japanese teams weer interested in getting Kamakazi. This is music to my ears. Hopefully we can dump him and get that waste of money of our books.

Weekend Betty White Awards and Coaching Morons

Idiot
What are you doing? No seriously what are you doing? Your a grown man gesturing to a COLLEGE kid right before he makes the kick to beat you. This would be considered absolutely Reggie Bush league in the NFL and it is absolutely unacceptable in College. Dont get mad that you got thrashed by a Florida offense who for the most part has been bad this year. If I was Chas Henry I would walk over to big bad ass Todd Grantham and tell him to suck my cleats. I was actually pulling for UGA to beat Florida as this would have basically sealed the deal for USC to represent the East in the SEC title game. I cant wait for Todd Grantham to take that defense down to Auburn and get mauled again.

The Weekend Betty White Awards

Get these people a Snickers bc they are playing like Betty White

  1. The Cowboys. Are you kidding me? You easily have the most talent of any team in the league and you are 1-6. 1 in freaking 6. Im so glad im not a Cowboys fan or I would have probolby killed someone by now.
  2. Michigan State and Missouri. Welcome back to Earth. Michigan State was flatter than my kid sister and Missouri was out of it before they knew what hit them. Way to take charge of your season.
  3. Brett Favre. Retire already bro.
  4. Notre Dame. I hate doing this but you dedicated the game to the student who died earlier in the week. You got beat by Tulsa! Cmon man thats bad. That is really bad.
  5. Brad "Chilly" Childress. Way to utilize the greatest downfield receiver this generation has seen. Also, worst challenge I have ever seen in my life on the Tate catch. Pack your bags. Hasta Luego!

Happy Crappy Monday

Happy Crappy Monday Morning……

Hello Boys and Girls, it is another Crappy Monday Morning for everyone. It’s the first day of November, yea I don’t know where the time went either, but needless to say it is still a pretty crappy morning. I did a lot of traveling this weekend, and I’m going to be honest, I’m tired and cranky. But here it is, I learned a lot over the weekend….. Enjoy.

1. Way to Make it to the World Series and Not Show Up

Ok, I know that they won one game over the weekend, but what the hell has happened to the Texas Ranger’s offense? They are terrible. Someone needs to let them know that there is one more 7 game series after the ALCS. Vladdy couldn’t hit a beach ball with the way he has been swinging. Josh Hamilton is nowhere to be found either. I’m not sure what is going on with the team, but they made the 21 year old stud Bumgarner look like Nolan Ryan himself. This one is signed, sealed, and delivered. I’m willing to admit I was wrong about this one.

2. Favorite Holiday’s of the Year

It is the best time of the year. The three best holidays of the year are all within a 2 month stretch. Starting with Halloween, which is a wonderful night of watching gorgeous girls walk around the bar with absolutely nothing on. God Bless the Holidays. Then comes Thanksgiving, which is amazing. What a great way to spend a day by lying around all day and eating every other hour. There also use to be great football that day, but the two worst teams in football get to play on Thanksgiving Day, the Lions and the awful Cowboys. I use to complain during the Cowboys game; because it was a good team I wanted to watch but always ended up falling asleep during the game. Not this year, I would be happy to fall asleep during the game, Hell everyone in their stadium has been falling asleep during their games.

3. Those Damn Georgia Bulldogs

Really Georgia? Is there no way you could have closed the door after that come from behind you were making against Florida. Yet again the damn Bulldogs could not close the deal, and essentially the entire SEC Championship game is going to come down to the Florida vs. South Carolina football game on November 13. If Georgia would have pulled the game off, then South Carolina would have been sitting pretty to win the East. It looks like the Ol Ball Coach Is going to have to go down to Gainsville to win one of the biggest games of his career.

4. High Movie Ticket Prices

Should you not be able to bring your own set of 3D glasses to the movies? I mean lets be honest here, movie prices are getting crazy out of control. To go see a movie in 3D, the price is around $11, ALL THE TIME. There is no Matinee. What is the reason for this? The reason is to recoup the cost of the glasses. So I told the lady, I have my own 3D glasses, does that make a difference? She shut me down like it was nothing. It is just crazy.

5. Weird NFL Season

It has been a weird NFL season, so far, with so many of the normally good teams struggling, and so many of the crappy teams actually looking pretty decent. For starters, the Cowboys and Vikings suck ass. They are absolutely horrible. And out of nowhere, the Raiders, Chiefs, and Seahawks are pretty decent. Hell even the Lions have won a couple of games. I like seeing some parody in the league. I like the fact that each and every week, a different team has an opportunity to win. Sucks for the Cowboys though…..

6. Ciint Boyer wins in Talladega

Who cares, is NASCAR not over yet? Their season is way too long.

7. Rondo Rondo Rondo

Rajon Rondo is sick nasty. I know the guy is surrounded by good talent, but he is sick nasty. The kid is averaging 17 assist per game. But it isn’t just Rondo; the entire NBA is looking pretty good at the point guard position. I can’t remember the league ever having this many talented point guards. Between Rondo, Felton, Chris Paul, Steve Nash, John Wall, Kidd, Deron Williams, and Brandon Jennings, I would say the talent at the Point Guard Position is pretty solid. And Iverson wonders why no team in the NBA is interested in his services.

8. 24/7

If you haven’t had an opportunity to watch a 24/7 series on HBO, you are missing out. Regardless what topic they are talking about, the show is solid. It follows an athlete on a backstage access period of time during their preparation for a season for a big game. So far, the Jimmie Johnson episode, as well as the Mayweather vs. Mosley season has been the best. I highly recommend checking it out when you might get a chance.

9. Kids these Days

There was a kid killed over the weekend after he was shot for supposedly egging someone’s house on Halloween. I mean seriously, how cruel has the world gotten that we can even egg houses anymore. People have been egging houses for years, hell I’ve egged a house or 2 in my day. But to shoot a kid for supposedly, not even definitely, is crazy. Kids be careful, things aren’t the same way they use to be.

10. The Top 10 in the Top 10

Each Week, I’m going to add a top 10 in the top 10. This is going to be a top 10 list of some of my favorites. Agree or disagree, let me know your thoughts. Let’s start with the most important:
