Happy Crappy Monday Morning……Volume 16.0

Happy Crappy Monday Morning……Volume 16.0
By: J-Shannon
Its Monday people and I owe the world an apology. I have gotten extremely slack lately, and did not get a chance to complete my Friday Free for All, so I’m guessing most of you sat around and cried all day at your office. Look, you try having your girlfriend live a state away, and go 2-3 weeks without seeing her, and let me know if you would rather take the extra time to get the article written, or to get home to see the wifey. Yea, now you know what I mean. But, I will do what I have to do, and vow to never miss another article date, at least until I come up with an even better excuse than the one above. This week’s Happy Crappy Monday is loaded, filled with everything from heartfelt stories to Lady Ga Ga and her nut job ways. So kick your feet up on your desk, take another bite out of that donut you don’t need, and enjoy a Happy Crappy Monday……

1  And the Winner Is…….
Anyone know what today is? Yea it is Valentine’s Day, but something happens today that is much more important than Valentine’s Day. It is announcement day, the day that Jadeveon Clowney makes the announcement as to where he plans to play football for at least the next three years. The man has made the announcement that he has narrowed his choices down to three: Alabama, Clemson, and South Carolina. Here was my opinion pre-press conference:
Alabama: Yea, if I was the best defensive player in the country, of course I would consider going to Bama and playing for one of the best defensive coaches in the country. But here is the problem; he says his mother plays a huge roll in his decision, and the only thing she is saying is she wants him to be close to home. The kid lives in Rock Hill, SC, therefore, his ass ain’t going to Bama……
Clemson: This frightens me. I originally thought he was everything but locked to go to USC, until Clemson showed they were sandbagging on National Signing Day and brought in the Defensive recruits they brought in. You have to at least consider going to Clemson, if you have the opportunity to join the #1 OLB and #1` Inside LB in the country.
South Carolina: Well, you heard it hear at Bro Nameth First, but the kid will be going to USC. He has 3 of his best friends at USC already, and has told them he is on the way. Make way for a nasty Defense next year…..
CONCLUSION: Your boy is a Gamecock, and I got no problems with that. Let’s just hope the 18 year old freak show can live up to the crazy hype….

2. Gas Prices, They are Fu@*#NG Outrageous…..
What the hell is going on with Gas? Blame it on the weather, Blame it on Egypt, but it is bullshit to be paying $3.00 a gallon for Gas. You can almost get a nice massage and a tug from anywhere in downtown Atlanta for the same price. I filled my truck up last night, and it cost me $82.00. I could literally buy 4 cases of beer for that. It’s downright crazy, and should be considered rape……

3.  Tiger, the Sports Fan needs you back……
Look, I love golf. It is one of my favorite things in the world. Honestly, nothing is better than relaxing on a Sunday afternoon, kicking your feet up on the couch, and watching the final round of a major golf event. But hasn’t the excitement of Golf faded since Tiger took his nose dive? Golf is about as interesting these days as watching a high school girl’s basketball game. Whether you love Tiger or Hate him, you have to admit that Tiger not playing like Tiger hurts the sport. If Tiger gets back to the form he was playing with 4 years ago, Golf will become relevant again, and my Sunday afternoon’s will once again be interesting……
4. St. Louis Cardinals calling Big Albert’s Bluff……
So the St. Louis Cardinals are calling Albert’s Bluff, being that he has said if he doesn’t have a new contract by the start of training camp, he will walk at the end of the season. Whether or not he walks isn’t the question, the question is why in the hell would you even play with the possibility of letting the best baseball player this in the last 2 decades walk from your team? Is it Money? In this day and age, you pay the best player in the league what he deserves. Is it principles? You say as a team you will not bow down to a player, and that no player is bigger than the team. Yes, this is a true statement, but keep this thought in mind: The Pittsburgh Pirates have the “Team” concept as well, and they suck ass. You have possibly the best first basemen in the history of baseball on your roster, and you are calling his bluff if he walks or not. Not resigning
5. William the Fridge Perry, What a sad story…..

6. There needs to be more publicity for a story like this…….
I think that more sports stories like this need to be brought out front. The man donates a kidney to a player who hasn’t even played a game for him yet……

7. The NCAA is the Biggest Joke in Sports……
So the story above about the Wake Forrest Coach who donated his kidney to his dying player is a heartfelt story. I think it was absolutely remarkable for a Coach to do what he did for a player he barely knew. Here is the crazy part: The NCAA had to actually investigate to see if any recruiting violations would occur with the donation of the kidney. Look, I know that the NCAA has a huge problem with colleges paying off players, and illegally recruiting. But at some point, the NCAA has to use some common sense, and understand that some things are absolutely ridiculous. Just this past week, an NCAA basketball player’s mother dropped dead from a heart attack. Before the kid could book a flight back to the funeral, he had to fill out paperwork with the NCAA to show that he was paying for his own flight, so that he could go back to his hometown and lay to rest his mother. The NCAA needs to get its act together; it’s absolutely bush league…….

8. Photo of the Week:
Here he is Boys and Girls, the Grand Prize Freak of an athlete both Clemson and South Carolina are praying for today. The man is a freak, 6’6’’, 247 lbs. of Meat and Cheese…..

9.“One-Liners” of the Week…..
·         Lady Ga Ga- She shows up to the Grammy’s being carried by 4 dude in a spaceship looking contraption, can she beg for any more attention?

·         Renaldo- Deuces my man; you had one hell of a career. Enjoy retirement….

·         Peter Foresberg-  Deuces to you too as well. I hope you enjoy retirement, but did you really think that you could come back and play in the NHL after 3 years off?

·         Egypt-  Congrats…….

·         Mark Sanchez- So he hooked up with a 17 year old girl, I mean at least it was legal in that state….…..

10. THE TOP 10 in the TOP 10…
  •  I have to drop this into the post because this kid is going to be the BRO of the week. This weeks top 10 is the 10 biggest punks who deserve bad things to happen to them
1-7: The 7 kids who jumped Nadin Khoury as he walked home from school: They were all older than he was and to be honest this makes me furious. Someone needs to lay some "Punisher" type justice on these guys.
8:  Kevin Garnett: I don't know what it is about KG but I literally cannot stand this guy. Yesterday he sets a brutal (yet legal) screen on Mike Miller. DWADE takes offense and shoves KG to the side on a rebound prompting a heated exchange. KG is easily the fakest tough guy in the league. Walks around like he is some kind of Bad ass yet hes a punk.

9:  The guys who develop the rules for the NCAA: I know we have already gone over this but seriously! Someone needs to drop an "END SCENE from CASINO" on these clowns. You know what im talking about.

10:  Barry Bonds: Nothing will make me feel better than Ole Fathead to go to jail for 3-5. It literally insults EVERYONES intelligence when he says he didn't juice. He sued Jack LaLaanne claiming he was the original "Power Juicer"...SHOCKER ALERT, the case is still pending trial.

Here is the Video of Nadin Khoury on The View. This kid is a champ...

As always, it has been a pleasure. Leave me your thoughts and comments on the facebook post…. See you all Friday morning Suckazzzzzz.

Happy Crappy Monday Morning……Volume 11.0

Happy Crappy Monday Morning……Volume 11.0
By: J-Shannon
Happy exceptionally Crappy Monday Morning to all of you loyal Bro Nameth Followers. It is 2011, and the first Crappy Ass Monday of the year. Lots of good stuff went on over the Holidays: some coaches got canned, some teams stepped up in big games, and some people went to jail. All in all, it was an epic Holiday season, and I will do my best to catch everyone up on what went down over the past couple of weeks. I myself had one of the best two weeks a guy can ask for. I got to do some traveling, saw some family, went to the Gator Bowl, and soaked in some warm Florida Sun.  So here it is boys and girls, enjoy a jam packed edition of Happy Crappy Monday Morning.

1.       7 Birds invited to the Pro Bowl, Sorry but they Ain’t Coming…….
Congrats to the Falcons for leading the league in players who were voted to the Pro Bowl. Roddy White, Matt Ryan, Michael Turner, John Abraham, Ovie Mughelli, Tony Gonzalez, and the do everything man Eric Weems. Unfortunately, they birds are going to have to pass on the opportunity to play in Hawaii. The game is actually played the week before the Super Bowl, and the birds have their targets set on playing in Dallas.  There is one thing that I am a little upset about though. Can we not give some love to a couple of the BIG NASTY’s on the O-Line? For the past three years, Turner and Snelling have been churning out hundreds of yards behind a solid group of O-linemen. I think it is time for guys like Clabo and Dahl to get a little love…..
2.       Big Ten, way to Blow…
So we are right in the middle of the College Football Bowl Season, maybe the NCAA Should have let the Big Ten know about it. They have looked absolutely horrible over the past couple of weeks. The Big Ten were scheduled to play in 5 games on New Year’s Day, however all they really did was put on uniforms and go through the motions. The Michigan Team actually had to stand up on the plane ride home because of the Ass kicking Mississippi State handed to them. Speaking of beat downs, Michigan State competed about as well as Georgia State against Alabama. At one point Saturday, Michigan and Michigan State were down 86-7. Wisconsin gave it a good effort, but TCU handled their business in the Rose Bowl. Urban Meyer won his last game with Florida against Penn State. And out in the TicketCity Bowl, (wherever the hell that is) Texas Tech topped Northwestern. Way to Represent BIG TEN……
3.       So long Rich Rod….
Speaking of the Gator Bowl, it looks like Rich Rodriquez may have coached his last few plays for the Wolverines. I had the luxury of sitting on the 50 Yard Line, Club level; to enjoy what I was hoping would be a good game. I know you’re jealous; you don’t have to hide it. So I thought I was going to see a good game, well what I got to witness was Rich Rod literally helping himself get the boot. On the first drive of the game, Michigan marched down 85 yards for 7 points. Mississippi State answered with a similar drive. But after the first two drives, something really interesting happened. Miss. State head coach Dan Mullen proved why he is going to be a great head coach, and Rich Rod proved why he is subpar. Dan Mullen made some adjustments, and kept Michigan in check the remainder of the game. What adjustments did Michigan make? Not a single one from the looks of it, as Mississippi State walked the ball up and down the field the entire game. But if that wasn’t bad enough, what happened right before the First Half ended should be the ultimate decision maker on his job status. Michigan has the ball on their 20, down 17-7, with 54 seconds to go in the half. Run the clock out? No, let’s try and launch one down field. The end result, interception and 7 points for Mississippi State…..So Long Richie……
4.       Possibly the Best and Most Epic Commercial Ever….
I have laughed over and over this past week at this amazing commercial. Yes, it is real, and Yes, it is a legit business….trust me, this will be one you watch over and over….

5.       Way to Show Up as Usual South Carolina…..
I’m not going to spend a lot of time on this topic, for 2 reasons. Number 1, I didn’t watch much of the game because of New Year’s festivities. And Number 2, I feel like I’m beating a dead horse. It is really simple with South Carolina: No Lattimore, No Offense! Florida State lays the smack down on Lattimore early in the game, and that’s all she wrote. The first play I actually watched Friday night was Garcia rolling out of the pocket, and lobbing one up in the end zone for a pick…. After that, I decided to focus on the ball dropping, and starting the Ol Gamecock saying…. “Wait til Next Year.”
6.       If you are going to Suck, GO ALL OUT….
Here is another great video, courtesy of Rupert Pupkin. This video made the Number 1 Video of the year on the 4 letter Network’s SportsNation, and I will admit is phenomenal. I like the desire, the heart, and the determination to finish the race, regardless if he was going to win or not….. please take a look, and enjoy…..

7.       Drunk obnoxious FSU fans....
So Jason is going to let me steal one of his top 10's for this week. I went to the Chick-Fil-A bowl on New Years Eve which pitted South Carolina against FSU. Now don't get me wrong when I was in school (and even now) I get really into the games and talk some trash but I wouldn't sit there and talk shit the WHOLE game and yell at people's families. This one guy was just out of control. It should not go unmentioned that he was wearing skinny jeans and no I am not joking. Every play he would turn and do the stupid chop followed by some kind of ridiculous remark. As the game was drawing to a close another gentleman who was intoxicated started screaming at the South Carolina section. A few Gamecock ladies took offense and decided to handle it themselves.
"Go to bed asshole you suck at life!"
"Why don't you go blow the guy in the skinny jeans !"
Now there are a few things here I want to say
  1. No dude should ever wear skinny jeans. I don't care if your the biggest bad ass on the planet. No other man should ever have to see another guy in jeans that look like they have been painted on. I don't care if Tim Gunn says they look good. Take it from me they don't.
  2. Shout out to the females not taking lip from anyone. This is why the SEC has the best fans in College Football. You got women talking ish to obnoxious drunk fans of opposing teams. Not only were they talking trash but they were cognizant to the fact that one of the trash talkers was wearing skinny jeans and knew that this broke BRO code and called him on it. I was proud.
8.       Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps
I watched this instead of the Fiesta Bowl because well...UCONN sucks. Quality flick centered around the financial crisis and the collapse of the economy. Gordon Gecko is a certifiable BRO and bad ass. "Blue Horseshoe loves Anacott Steel."

9.       “Deuces” of the week…….

The Section dedicated to the group of people who will be throwing up their “Deuces” as they leave, quit, or get fired an organization………
-          John Fox- It was a good run for you, but you’re time has come to an end in Carolina. You’ll get picked up somewhere…..
-          Mike Haywood- Boy, did his December go from awesome to Shitty in 3 week span. The man gets hired from Miami of Ohio, and takes over a pretty decent Pittsburgh job. However, after being busted for Domestic Violence, he was immediately fired….. Damn he is having a good year.
-          Brett Favre- For F$%K’s Sake, just go to Mississippi and stay there…..
-          DeAngello Williams, OCHO CINCO, Steve Smith…. It looks like some big name players are probably not going to be playing with their respective teams next season. Look for these players to be rocking new jersey’s next season…..

-           Eric Mangini....One of the worst coaches in the NFL. Peace be with you.

10.   THE TOP 10 in the TOP 10….
It’s Top Ten in the Top Ten time, and this week’s topic is a personal favorite. I have had the opportunity to travel to many different sports facilities in the country. This week’s Top Ten in the Top Ten is the Best Sports facilities I have had the opportunity to visit and see a game…..Enjoy…..

1.       MADISON SQUARE GARDEN- I saw the Knicks battle the Bulls back in the day, what a great and Historic Venue…

2.       DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY- Yes, I know it is NASCAR, but I have been there a couple of times, and the place is crazy. Such a great event to go and spend a couple of days and just people watch…

3.       YANKEE STADIUM- The House that Ruth Built, I’m not a Yankees fan at all, but you have to appreciate the history that is in this place. I’m glad I actually go to go to the old Stadium, with all of its Historic value….

4.       TURNER FIELD- Yes, it is where the Braves call Home. The best value in sports in my opinion, you can literally buy a ticket from STUBHUB.COM for $2, and walk in the park and gain access to the Chop House in Right Field. I made somewhere around 20 games this year….

5.       DEATH VALLEY- Yes I hate Clemson with a passion, but you have to appreciate the Tiger Fan’s passion for the sport. Death Valley is a great place to see a game. Make sure you get there early, and be sure to stop by The Esso Club after the game for some good times….

6.       BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY- One of the wildest trips I have ever been on, be sure if you are going to make a NASCAR race at all in your lifetime, make it this Track. To maximize the fun, take a group of your buddies, and rent an RV for the weekend. This place was a nonstop party from Friday until Sunday night…

7.       THE SWAMP- I have seen a lot of football games in my day, but this is the loudest stadium I have ever been to. Had the opportunity to see the Gamecocks battle Florida and come up short in an awesome 16-15 game. The bar scene in Gainesville is awesome as well….

8.       CHURCHILL DOWNS- The Kentucky Derby. That is all that has to be said. Dress to Impress, and prepare to have an epic afternoon. Such a wonderful atmosphere and a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon….

9.       THE GATOR BOWL- It is a trip I have had the luxury of attending every year for the past 14 years, but it is always a good time. It is great to go to a bowl game where you don’t really care who wins, and you can sit back and enjoy a solid weekend. Make sure to head to the Jacksonville Landing for your New Year’s festivities…..

10.   WILLIAMS BRICE STADIUM- Of course I had to save the best for last. This place offers tailgating at its finest. If there is a 7:00 kickoff, expect to be at the game with drink in hand by 9:00 AM. If you are really looking for a good time, head over to Stadium Place and listen to loud music, or hop on a Cock-A-Boose for a hell of a time….

As always, it has been a pleasure. Leave me your thoughts and comments on the facebook post…. See you all Friday morning Suckazzzzzz.

Betty White, 5 Hour Energy, Mike Tyson and new AWARDS

Here we are another week in and its that time again. Grab a snickers and pass it to these guys because they are playing like Betty White.

  1. Albert Haynesworth: I have had about all I can stand of hearing about this clown. You got paid 100 million dollars to play football! Your playing a SPORT for 100 MILLION DOLLARS! Get over yourself already. You should be doing whatever the hell they tell you to do and liking it. You get paid all that money and literally are just a big tool box.
  2. The Washington Nationals front office. You seriously just gave Jayson Werth 126 million over 7 years?? You need more than a Snickers because the entire Front Office should be fired for this. You have a guy who hits in an incredibly hitter friendly park in 1 of the best lineups in baseball. Now you move him to a not so hitter friendly park with the Nationals lineup. Good luck with that. For that kind of money he better hit .300+ and hit close to 40 HR's. WOW is all I have to say. Kudos to Scott Boras.
  3. The South Carolina Football Team. I was at the game this last Saturday against Auburn and let me say what an ass kicking that was. Not only did you just get drilled, but you made the Auburn defense and Ted Roof look good! I don't care what anyone says Ted Roof might be the worst defensive coordinator in football and he made South Carolina look terrible. Spurrier, step your game up bro. Garcia, stop being Jekyl and Hyde. Lattimore and Jeffrey, you both didn't have a good game but your still awesome. Stephon Gilmore, I will get to you later. I should write Steve Spurrier and tell him I want a refund after that performance. Much like the Oregon fan did last year when Oregon got thumped by Boise State.
  4. The NCAA. Its pretty amazing to me that when the NCAA has a vested interest in something it can make a decision very quickly. Did you know that the Reggie Bush case sat dormant for 18 months before they started investigating again? They made a ruling on Cam Newton in 2 days! 2 freaking days! Why do you think that is? Maybe its because they would rather get a sponge bath from Rosie O'Donnell before they would want TCU in the National Championship game. Once again its the Golden Rule in effect. The people with the gold make the rules. That's the way it is. This has EVERYTHING to do with Newton and Auburn playing Oregon in the National Championship game. What is so sad is that the NCAA admitted that a rule was broken, yet he is allowed to play. Seems logical.

The 5 Hour Energy award this week is a pretty simple choice. Stephon Gilmore from South Carolina wins this award and wins it easily. Gilmore gave up 268 passing yards ALONE, that's right 268 yards including a hail mary pass where Gilmore apparently thought it required him to actually say the Hail Mary while kneeling. Gilmore was worked like a rented goalie on more than 1 occasion but the double move Darvin Adams put on him was dirtier than Bill Clinton. He needed to pound at least a 6 pack of 5 Hour Energy because he definitely had that 2:30 feeling.

The Mike Tyson Award for biggest beat down goes to the NY football JETS. Not only is Rex Ryan a fat slob, he is also the cockiest dude I know who has not accomplished anything as a head coach. He took the 9-2 Jets into New England to face the 9-2 "Home of the Pats". The beat down that ensued was huge. The pats rolled out to a 17-0 lead in the first quarter on their way to a 45-3 win. Dirty Sanchez was just that, dirty. He threw 3 picks and the JETS offense as a whole was pretty pathetic. The Patriots and "the hoodie" proved why they are still the team to beat in the AFC.

We got a New Award this week. The Dyson Vacuum Award. This award goes to the player/coach who "it sucks to be you" the most. That award is shared by 2 former colleagues in former Broncos Head Coach Josh McDaniel's and Broncos Owner Pat Bowlen. It sucks to be Josh McDaniel's because, well he was fired only a year and a half in. To say he is no longer viewed a young coach on the rise is an understatement. The Broncos started 6-0 last year before collapsing and they sit at 3-9 this year. He also drafted Tim Tebro in the first round. It sucks to be the Broncos owner because once he hires a new coach, he will be paying 3 head coaches all at the same time. He still owes Mike Shannahan money, he will owe Josh McDaniel's money for a few more years, and last but not least he will have to pay the new coach. Its not like he doesn't have the money but that's a Chili's Triple Dipper I wouldn't want.

That's it for this weeks awards. If you have any suggestions on awards or who should get an award please email us BNSports2010@gmail.com. Also, there is a link on the top right of the blog titled "Aquatic Rehab Pool" that you should click on and check out. It's a new rehab method that uses underwater treadmills. Its a pretty sweet idea and you should check it out. They are currently being used by multiple professional teams and colleges and the idea is rather cool.

Shout Out to all the Bro Nameth Supporters and all the regular loyal readers. We really appreciate it.

Happy Crappy Monday Volume 8.0

Happy Crappy Monday ……Volume 8.0
By: J Shannon
Well, the college football regular season is in the books, and it was one hell of a weekend. As you can tell, this Happy Crappy morning has rolled over into Happy Crappy Afternoon, mainly because I slept a grand total of 3 hours the entire weekend. Epic is too small a word to describe the weekend, even with a beat down from Auburn. Anyway, here it is boys and girls….Happy Crappy Monday “Afternoon” Skeezers….
1.       Cam Newton Rolls through Atlanta….
Yes, I attended the SEC Championship this weekend. And yes, I was amazed to watch Cam Newton single handedly lay a beat down on the Gamecocks. I put together 5 checkpoints on Friday that The South Carolina Football team would have to do to win this Game. Let’s take a look at how the Gamecocks measured up to these points…..
ü  Alshon Jeffery has an enormous day. He lit up Auburn last game for 8 catches, 190 yards, and 2 touchdowns. He will need to do the same again.

…..Jeffery had nowhere near the day he had the first game against Auburn. Alshon ended the game with 4 receptions for 38 yards and a TD….

ü  They stick to the game plan. Even if Lattimore isn’t breaking off big chunks of yardage, you can not abandon the run game. You have to keep going to back to the run, in order to keep Jeffery free.

…. Lattimore was also held in check. He ended up with 18 carries for 84 yards.

ü  They force turnovers. The Defense has to play by far the best game of the season. I don’t think you can sit back and wait on Cam to make a move. I think Ellis Johnson has to dial up some confusing looks and blitz packages.

…. We def. dropped the ball on this one. I was extremely disappointed on not only the lack of effort on the defensive side of the ball, but the game plan in general that was put together by Ellis Johnson. Rarely, if ever, did you see a blitz dialed up to put some pressure on Cam. RUMOR has it Stephon Gilmore had to stand in the back of the isl on the back of the plane for the ride home, being that his ass was beat so bad by Cam he couldn’t sit in his seat… Stephon Gilmore thinks he should be playing on Sundays, but I feel like he wouldn’t start for a lot of Friday night High School teams these days. What happened to you bro? Step your game up, you should be ashamed that Cam made you his bitch with 268 yards passing on you ALONE….

ü  They play Turnover Free Football. Against Florida, I said USC could make 1 turnover or less. Well that was because Florida’s offense sucks worse than a Dyson Vacuum. Auburn’s Offense is nasty. USC CAN NOT TURN THE BALL OVER AT ALL.
.... Yea, well you know how this one goes. Garcia had two crucial picks, and the rest is history….

ü  The Ol Ball Coach returns to form. Spurrier has to put together the best game plan of his career. I think the fact that he has played this game numerous times is a huge advantage for South Carolina.

….. Overall, I was disappointed in all aspects of the Game Plan. The offense was lack luster. The defense didn’t have a remote chance of slowing down the Cam Newton Express. Being that this was the biggest game in the history of South Carolina Football, you just expected the team to come out with a little passion….. Overall grade….

2.       How About Them Dirty Birdz……

Ok, I’m man enough to admit when I was wrong, and when I said the hiring of Coach Mike Smith was a bad idea; I couldn’t have been more incorrect. The man flat out knows how to coach. I’m not sure what type of brotivation he is mixing in the Gatorade up in Flowery Branch, but he has the Falcons playing inspired football. Regardless of score, and how much time is left in the game, the Falcon’s find a way to make the right moves and take the lead. All three phases of the team have stepped up when needed, and this week was no exception. Late in the 4th quarter, when the Falcon’s needed a spark, Eric Weems decided the best way to put points on the board was to return a kickoff 102 yards for a touchdown….I’m excited to see how deep this team can go into the playoffs….

3.       Destroying the National Anthem….

I’m a big fan of the Eli Young band, but that last thing you want to do as a professional artist is to abuse the National Anthem. Make sure you know it before you kill it…. The Chiefs fans let this guy have it this weekend….

4.       Oregon vs. Auburn preview….

Now that the dust has settled, it’s time to say it… War Damn Eagle. I have to pull for the Tigers in the game, being that they are in the SEC. I think this game has potential to be an amazing shootout. The game opened up in Vegas yesterday with Oregon being a 4 point favorite, and already today it has moved to Auburn being favored by 5. I’m looking forward to seeing the ball go back and forth up and down the field. But most importantly, I cannot wait to see what Oregon is going to wear. The Nike Corporation is going to put together one hell of a uniform combination for this game.

5.       My FAVORITE South Carolina Player….

Here you go fellas, I found a new favorite player on the South Carolina football team….

6.       Drew Stanton, Never again Bro…

Drew Stanton, the Third string Quarterback for the Detroit Lions, got to the opportunity to start this week. After rushing for a Touchdown, Stanton did the worse think he can do… he attempted to “Dougie.” Look, I got no problem with a TD celebration, or the “Dougie,” but make sure you know how to do it first….

7.       Gamecock fan support in ATL…

I have to admit, I was proud of how the Gamecocks traveled this past weekend. It was nice to see so many Gamecocks traveled to the big city of ATL, and I think the Friday night show with Patrick Davis was a huge success….It goes a long way to show that the Chik-Fil-A bowl didn’t hesitate to invite the Gamecocks back to the same venue within 3  3 weeks of playing. Let’s see if we can travel again….

8.       My Christmas list….

My December Christmas list is complete, and it is really simple. Malin Ackerman. She first popped up on my radar in an Entourage episode. For you avid Entourage followers, she was the third member of the 3-some with Sloan and E. She also stars in the movie Watchmen…. Let me know if anyone needs my address….

9.       SUPPORT US ON FACEBOOK….

Enough Said…. Add us ASAP.

10.     The Top 10 in the Top 10

With College football coming to an end, and yes I am a little depressed, Here is the top 10 as I see it  for  COLLEGE ASSISTANT COACHES WHO MAY BE MAKING THE MOVE TO HEAD COACHES NEXT  SEASON.

1.       BRENT VENABLES- OKLAHOMA DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR – The guy has put together a top defense year after year. It is only a matter of time before he gets to step into the Big Shoes.

2.       TROOPER TAYLOR- AUBURN ASSISTANT HEAD COACH – Most people won’t know this name unless you are a Auburn fan. Trooper is the Tool Shed who can be seen waving his towel on the sideline of an Auburn Game. But Trooper is a hell of a recruiter, and insiders are saying it is his time to get a shot at the top position.

3.       BUD FOSTER- VIRGINIA TECH DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR- Bud has been the DC in Virginia Tech for like 90 years. He always puts together a good D. Although he wants to take over after Beamer leaves, It looks like Beamer is in it for the long haul. Bud will get his shot soon.

4.       GUS MALZAHN- OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR AUBURN- Just won the SEC Championship, laying 56 points in the game. Just won the Broyles award for the Number 1 assistant of the year. It is his time….

5.       KIRBY SMART- DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR ALABAMA – Time to get out of the shadow of Nick Saban…

6.       TYRONE NIX- ASSISTANT HEAD COACH OLE MISS- Nix needs to make the jump to head coach sooner rather than later, being that Ole Miss looked horrible this season. He needs to cash in the chips while he is hot….

7.       WILL MUSCHAMP- DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR TEXAS… Yea I know he is the Coach in waiting at Texas, but how long can he sit in that position before he gets antsy?

8.       DICK BUMPAS-DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR TCU- Dick has been a multiple finalist for the Broyles Award. Yea he coaches at TCU, but he has put together a Defense in an area of the country that has him competing for players with top schools like Oklahoma and Texas.

9 & 10. YOU DECIDE- Give me some feedback, and let me know which college assistant coach needs a new gig. Best answer gets a Bro Nameth T…..

Leave me your thoughts and comments on the facebook post…. See you all Friday morning Suckazzzzzz.

Friday Free For All…..Volume 7.0

Friday Free For All…..Volume 7.0
By: J Shannon
It’s Friday People, the Friday before the SEC Championship game…. That means this Friday Free for All is going to be jam packed so damn tight full of breakdown and analysis of the big game,  it’s going to make a Honda Civic crammed full of Mexicans look like a H2 Limo…..Here it is boys and girls, THE SEC CHAMPIONSHIP Edition of the FRIDAY MORNING FREE FOR ALL……

----THE NUMBER ONE THING I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS WEEKEND:
1.       South Carolina vs. Auburn-
Let’s be honest, is there anything else going on this weekend other than the SEC Championship game? Not as far as I’m concerned. This game has a little bit of everything: The underdog, the potential national champion, the off field controversy, the freshmen sensation, and the old Veteran Coach. Does South Carolina have a chance to upset Auburn? Most people would say no, but then again, most of those same people had Alabama and Florida playing this weekend, so what the hell do they know? Here are, in my opinion, the key match ups to watch this weekend…..
·         Stephen Garcia vs. the Auburn Pass Defense- In the first meeting between the two teams, Stephen Garcia picked apart the Auburn defense the first three quarters of the game. Auburn's pass defense showed last week against Alabama that they don’t mind giving up over 350 yards of passing offense. Garcia has to be on point, and accurate. Garcia has to take what is given to him, and not make the decisions he did in years past.

·         Cam Newton vs. the USC Front 7- I would say Auburn’s offense vs. the front 7, but Cam Newton is the offense. The good news for South Carolina: Their defense has seen Cam before, and held him somewhat in check in game 1. The bad news: Cam has only gotten better since the last meeting. In order to have a chance to win the game, I think South Carolina has to make Cam Newton throw over the top of the front 7.

·         Turnover Football- Take away turnovers in the first game, who knows what would have happened. Turnovers are always important, but I feel like this game they will be the ultimate factor. IF SOUTH CAROLINA DOES NOT TURN THE BALL OVER THIS GAME, THEY WILL BE THE SEC CHAMPIONS.

SOUTH CAROLINA WINS IF……
ü  Alshon Jeffery has an enormous day. He lit up Auburn last game for 8 catches, 190 yards, and 2 touchdowns. He will need to do the same again.

ü  They stick to the game plan. Even if Lattimore isn’t breaking off big chunks of yardage, you can not abandon the run game. You have to keep going to back to the run, in order to keep Jeffery free.

ü  They force turnovers. The Defense has to play by far the best game of the season. I don’t think you can sit back and wait on Cam to make a move. I think Ellis Johnson has to dial up some confusing looks and blitz packages.

ü  They play Turnover Free Football. Against Florida, I said USC could make 1 turnover or less. Well that was because Florida’s offense sucks worse than a Dyson Vacuum. Auburn’s Offense is nasty. USC CAN NOT TURN THE BALL OVER AT ALL.

ü  The Ol Ball Coach returns to form. Spurrier has to put together the best game plan of his career. I think the fact that he has played this game numerous times is a huge advantage for South Carolina.

Final Predictions
At the end of the day, it comes down to Stephen Garcia. If he doesn’t turn the ball over, and has a big game, I think South Carolina has its first SEC Championship. South Carolina jumps out early in this game, and Auburn makes a hell of a run in the second half. But the magical comeback luck has run out for Auburn, and they miss the field goal for the tie at the end of regulation.

FINAL SCORE-   AUBURN- 28   SOUTH CAROLINA -31

-----Number 1 Thing that Pissed me OFF this Week…..
1.       The NCAA Rules Committee…

Look, I’m not hating on Cam Newton or Auburn. Auburn has handled this situation exactly the way an athletic department should handle a situation of this magnitude. And I think Cam Newton should win the Heisman for being the best football player in the country. The part that pisses me off is how bad the NCAA dropped the Ball on this matter. It comes down to one thing: MONEY. The NCAA is so afraid of the possibility of TCU playing for the National Championship, that they didn’t take the time to think out their statement before they made their final ruling. Essentially, they said that Cam Newton’s father broke the same rules that Reggie Bush’s father broke. Both Mr. Bush and Mr. Newton solicited money from a school in order for their son to play. What no one understands is this:

--The outcome for the Bush situation: 30 lost scholarships for USC, 2 years probation.
--The outcome for the Newton Situation: Eligible. Nothing else.

Like I said, I’m not hating, I’m glad he is playing. I WANT CAM TO PLAY. If South Carolina pulls off an upset, I would want them to pull it off against the strongest Auburn team, so there are no what ifs….

So why is he eligible? It’s really simple. In the words of Diddy, “It’s all about the Benjamin’s Baby.” TCU has 8,865 total students enrolled at its university. Auburn has 24,602. The National Championship is in Arizona this year. What are your best chances to fill an entire stadium for a National Championship? Make sure the team with the most followers and fan support has the best opportunity to make the trip. And as far as TV Ratings go, who would you rather see play: Cam Newton and Auburn vs. Oregon or TCU vs. Oregon. Now you are starting to get it……

-----Youtube Clip of the Week…..
---This week marks the annual Jimmy V memorial week. Jimmy V was a legendary coach, who to this day has raised millions of dollars for cancer research. Here is his legendary speech from the Espy Awards, weeks before he died. It is a must watch, and one of the most inspirational speeches in history. Enjoy.

-----Shout-Outs for the Weekend…..
·         The Pool Hall- Shout Out to the Pool Hall for supporting the Gamecocks, and hosting Patrick Davis this weekend. It should be an incredible weekend. ….

·         Magic Johnson- The guy is the longest known survivor of HIV that I know about and now he is on the verge of bringing an NFL team to LA...

·         The Victoria Secret Fashion Show- Outfits were weird as hell, but damn there were some gorgeous girls on that runway….

·         Lebron- Not only did he go back to Cleveland, but he shut up 20,000 people, put up 38, 8, and 8, and didn’t even play the 4th quarter. Step up your Brotivation Cleveland….

·         Crandall Sims- Thanks for the shout- out this morning. You are well on your way to becoming Brotivated….

·         Matt “Broseph” Watts- Thanks for reading continuously, and spreading the word….

·         Shay Stafford, Jamison Mady, Phil Hud, Stephanie Smith, The Shaefer Welch Band, and Kanos- These are some of the residents that will be calling my place home for the weekend festivities…..

As always, it’s been a pleasure. Leave a comment if you disagree with anything I got to say, and I’ll prove to you why you are wrong….. Check in again Monday Suckazzzzz.
